The Queequegs endeavor to raise funds to support charities including the C&S Patient Education Foundation (Conquer Chiari) and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

In 2009, the "Walking Moai" of New England rasied $10,052.52 for the Maine Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, nearly doubling the the $5,000 they raised in 2008. The Queequeg chapter reached over half their goal by selling a limited edition custom tiki mug during the holidays. The team took great pride in offering a gigantic check to a surprised Denise Clavette, president of the Multiple Sclerosis Society's Maine Chapter.

Conquer Chiari Walk In the Fall of 2010, the Queequeg chapter participated in a Conquer Chiari Walk in Westbrook, CT. The chapter raised funds to combat this little-known neurological disorder, and enjoyed fun and fellowship in the process.

One of the Queequeg chapter's many charitable initiatives is sending care packages to U.S. service members in Iraq and Afghanistan. Several soldiers have received these helpful and comforting reminders of home.

The Fraternal Order of Moai's national charity is the Easter Island Foundation. Through fundraising efforts and by sharing the proceeds of official F.O.M. events, two scholarships are awarded annually to students with Rapanui ancestry who wish to further their education.
