Here's my '63 Falcon 4-door sedan. She's been great. I got into a bad collision a few Februaries ago (young girl in SIV in oncoming lane decided my side of road was better), and decided to buy this jalopy instead of a real car, against all reasonable protests. It was COMPLETELY unroadworthy. Missing tie rod, ancient ball joints, tires… well, I drove her all winter while fixing her up. After about a year, I had the best daily driver of my life.

The original 170ci motor always billowed smoke from the road draft tube, but after many thousands of miles she was crying for retirement. I found a great rebuilt 200ci/C4 combo for her, but alas: life got in the way. The car's been up on jack stands for the last year.

This Spring - though I have many projects on my plate, including a wedding - this Falcon will fly again! I've been meaning to start this thread for years. Since I need the motivation, why not now?

That's a sweet ride you got there. Good luck with the fixin' and whatnot.

Thanks! It'll be my first engine transplant. Pretty straightforward, but it's a non-stock transmission and will need some Queequeg ingenuity.

Here's what going in...

Wow- what a great set of wheels. My parents had the stationwagon version when I was a kid. She deserves to live!
