Well as most of you know the fairlane took a pretty heavy hit last year..
I am currently looking for a 61 galaxie or fairlane to use as a donor vehicle for the sheetmetal....
I just had a 60's t-bird "donated" to me with a good motor and trans, a 390 to be specific... Power disc brakes, and Power steering... I am going to have to measure the width and possibly see about having the entire t-bnird front clip welded onto the fairlane... or just try and transfer most of the good stuff... (kinda dread manual steering with that big block under the hood)
The interior is already out of it.. and in my happy little hands (wraparound back seat.... oh yea)
So if you know of a 61 out there and might be able to help a brother out with some tin.. maybe it could be relayed to me here in pgh...

It's swap meet season, I'll keep an eye out for your parts.

yo Yinz. i have a 460 and a C6 that i'd let go cheap. the 460 is a much better powerplant than the 390. the 390 really doesn't make any power despite it's size. not that that matters, but if you change your mind....

I dont know if I could shoehorn that into the ol gal...
I think the main reason I have fixated on the 390 is that it was the top of the line engine for the glaxie/fairlane in 61..
You know what I'm sayin?

Still have my eyes peeled. A buddy just bought a '61 Starliner so I
put the word out to him since he's looking for Ford stuff all the time.
