Not entirely sure what to make of this (yet), but anyone considering ordering from Mahalo Tiki should be aware that I made a PayPal purchase (3 mugs--~$90) on 6/26 that I never received. They haven't replied to my (3) email status inquiries & I see recent Yelp comments saying they're out of business? If so, they're intentionally screwing people because you can still place orders on their website. Hope it isn't true, but it don't look good . . .

Good luck! You should be able to file a claim with PayPal, if you haven't already. [DISAPPOINTED FACE]

Oh boy! Good luck & probably makes sense to file that PayPal claim ASAP!

I think they can be shady. ~4 years ago they committed to an ad in Ohana magazine, but then went dark & wouldn't reply to my emails or FB messages, but they were making posts in FB. after that, wrote them off.

Forgot to mention: Mahalo Tiki phone number out of service too. PayPal tells me they're a big-time seller/user, so I'm hoping they'll just send me the mugs. Stay tuned . . .

Move quick. I once gave a famous tiki artist the benefit of doubt and got boned out of $100. I even got him to answer the phone where he claimed he'd contact Tiki Farm who must have lost the drop ship order.

Needless to say, my time to protest the charge expired. Buying on the net for over 25 years and the only person to bone me was a famous tiki artist, so far.

It's not going to happen again.

And I hope he gets to do a lot of work in the future just for the exposure.

I bought some vintage analog audio processing gear once that took two years to get to me. That was in the USENET days when there were no guarantees and you sent out checks based on their reputation. That guy came through. I made the mistake that for a famous tiki artist, fame was the equivalent of a good reputation.

I did business with Mahalo Tiki years ago and was very satisfied. Nice guy. I understand that he got very sick. I don't know for sure and so don't quote me but life ending kind of sick.

I think PayPal recently extended their dispute window considerably but I don't remember exactly what the time frame is. I think it's 180 days now so you've got time.

Thx all--PayPal issued me a credit today. Curiously, there's a Mahalo Tiki booth listed at Tiki Oasis.

I've ordered from them in the past with no issues. I accidentally placed an order with them this weekend, not remembering this thread. We'll see. Glad you got your money back.

I'd ordered from them a few times in the past with no issues.
