Hey there fellow Initiates,

It's been about a year since I announced my intention, but life got in the way. Just went to my third Tongariki chapter event, the Meet and Greet at Trader Vic's Atlanta this past Saturday, November 3, 2018. What a great crew of people!

Huge thanks to Rick, Ce, Paul, James, Dave, Cash, Molly and Darren for being so very welcoming. It was good to see Pat and Dwayne again too, after the wonderful shindig they had for us at their house back in the spring after the last Meet and Greet. Sorry I had to leave early, but I had a long ways to go.

The crew did a special secret drink menu that was amazing! The Allspice Sour was really fitting for the fall weather that's descended upon us. Wish I could have tried more. The Saturn I'll be looking forward to for next time.

It's been too long since I've been on the forums. I just wanted to let you all know that the Tongariki crew really knows how to throw a party. This was the biggest event I've been to so far with the chapter. What a great night of fellowship.

Looking forward to much more. Aloha, everyone.

Thanks for coming out, we always enjoy having you around.

See you on the 16th.

Here is the link to the secret menu mentioned for context

Good seeing you! I don't think we got to chat much - there were so many people there that night! I hope to see you at some tiki event in the future!

That Saturn does look interesting. I'll have to write it in my little black book.

The Allspice Sour was definitely my favorite. Thanks Rick!

Three cheers for the Tongariki Tohunga, Antipants!

Great job working with Trader Vic's on a new secret menu and hosting this successful meet and greet. I think there were at least 40 attendees, and all of them seemed to be having a great time.

Thanks everyone! I hope I can make it down on the 16th.

I may swing down to go to Tiki Iniki tonight...leaning yes at the moment. If you have any suggestions from the menu, let me know. I know they're still in the Opening Jitters phase, but I want to know what all the hype is about. (And they even have a hotline!)

Let it be known that the Tongariki chapter really knows how to make a noob feel welcome.

Oh whoa, nearly forgot. Special thanks to Tikihut Honeycutt for helping me out with a spare pin back when mine disappeared into the abyss under the tables. You, in particular, rock, good sir.

I very much hope to see you all again this Saturday—aloha!

I went the first week Tiki Iniki was open. There were a lot of Opening Jitters, but I think the bar does have some promise. The decor is fun, a bit kitschy. The food was quite good, though some of it was pricey. A singular pork bun for $8? Really? The drinks weren't the worst tiki drinks I have ever had, but they seemed to lack something, depth. But I'm hoping that will improve as they figure it out.

Didn't make it down, sadly. But I should be at Vic's for PR Rum night on Saturday!

Someday I'll make it to Tiki Iniki.

The PR Rum night is on Friday, 11/16! Some of the Tongariki should be there.
