I uploaded my first video to my new YouTube channel. Somehow I managed to tack on four minutes of dead air space. I think a few people thought that was the best part of my video. It was unintentional. I would think that if you were a radio DJ and you did a show that included four minutes of dead air space that would be a career ender. For good or bad I answer to no one and so the show will go on. Experts have said that learning a foreign language, or learning to play a musical instrument if you never have, will maybe help to fend off things like dementia. It’s good to use new parts of your brain. I am trying to learn Adobe Premiere Elements 15 for video editing. I have much more to learn obviously.

Here is new link to revised video:

It wasn't dead air. You were playing John Cage's 4'33".

My second video is live.

https://youtu.be/kftiZwUKWlE

My plan is to post a new video every Thursday. I am spending a week at the Tiki in Lake George and plan to do some exploring in and around Lake George. I never really leave the Tiki during Ohana. Planning a couple of videos on Lake George stuff.

Thanks for another episode of Scott's Thoughts - a name that increasingly rhymes as the strength of one's New England accent grows.

I see your mileage does not vary from mine when it comes to computer installations!

Good idea on a LG video - consider including this place which I totally forgot to visit during Ohana!

I will check that out. I definitely want to check out the muffler men you were talking about and what was the creepy kids place?

Oh, I assume you are referring to the one and (hopefully) only Magic Forest?

Why would you think it is creepy...?

My third video went live on Thursday

https://youtu.be/QAzYYhCKNgM

This Thursday I will post video number four which was shot at The Tiki Motor Inn in Lake George and surrounding locales. I will be shooting the episode that follows that one at The Hula Hop and The Grass Skirt in Columbus, Ohio.

I am finishing it up tonight. Trying to teach myself how to do captions for this one. Your video shot at Ohana is just awesome. What do you edit with? I am trying to learn Adobe Premiere Elements 15. I got the internet microphone and still can't get it to work. I think I have to download a software program like Audacity. Microsoft Plug-n-play doesn't do squat. I was planning to shoot some video at the Polynesian dinner show at the Tiki but a big storm knocked all the power out to Lake George Friday night so no dinner show.

Scott, I think I deleted that clip, after posting it to Facebook. If there is a way you can capture it off of Facebook, feel free to use it.

Mahaloz nui! I use Premiere Pro which i think has a pretty good learning curve although the layout and options are quite intimidating. Bridget and I have only produced 12 edited videos ever in our lives. We made quite a few unedited vids and periscope type things. Premiere Pro is pretty pretty pretty pro I think.

I was you first watcher and like this morning :wowza:

I go to YouTube for tutorials on Premiere Elements and the tutorials for Pro that come up don't even look like the same program. I have tried to watch stuff on Premiere Elements 13 and the difference isn't worth it - just confusing. Learning the new software should keep ones mind sharp and it is satisfying when you figure something out.
