So if you're looking for a little retro fun, if you subscribe for 2 or 3 years to Mad Magazine, you get a free mini Alfred E Neuman tiki mug! All the cool kids will have one (ordered mine last night)!!!

Ha. I work with the publisher, so forced them to send me one before they were out “in the wild”. It’s cute, but tiny. I use it for Plantation OFTD sipping!

It is more of a shot glass. But who does not love Alfred?

Not every mug has to be a 24 ounce fog cutter.

I can also justify a subscription as cultural preservation.

Wait?!! You can DRINK out of Tiki mugs??? I just put them on a shelf and admire them... :P

JK, I do have some "every day tiki mugs" that we drink out of. But we do save the special ones for display only. All my Ohana mugs are high up on a shelf, nice and safe.

Just the old ones with red, orange or yellow glaze...

If the inside glaze is crazed, it will retired and spend the rest of its life on the shelf. Being enjoyed is what makes them special.

Our everyday dishes are vintage Temperama and Blue Heaven. It goes further with a Sunbeam AT35 Radiant toaster and Farberware percolator in daily use

I didn't even know Mad was still around. Cute incentive to subscribe. I enjoy getting mugs however the Geeki wave of products does nothing for me personally. Kungaloosh!
