Aloha!
I’m Ron and I first heard about FOM last weekend while on an adventure with my wife (CoconutChelle). We were in Austin, TX and got to meet some amazing members of the FOMily from Austin, Houston, Arkansas, and Wisconsin. We had a blast getting to know more of our kind of people. My first experience in tiki was at the Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto in Disney World and then Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar in Disneyland. We recently bought a 50+-year-old rattan and mahogany tiki bar that started life in the Philippines and has had plenty of adventures of its own. We can’t wait to give it a home in our own tiki bar and begin adventures of our own.

I wish to become Fellow Moai.

I don't think we're up to your technical specifications--but aloha and welcome unless/until you figure that out.

If you're talking about the formula, I don't have a clue. I'm not that smart. It's a bit of info from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. If you haven't seen it and like British humor I would recommend it.

We're naming our home tiki bar, "The Migrating Coconuts." We moved (migrated) around a lot during my military career and have finally, like a floating coconut, found our "island."

Thank you for the welcome.

That is pure. bloody. GOLD! I've been a Monty Python fan since about 1980, back when PBS used to air The Flying Circus on Saturday nights. My dad and I would roar with laughter and my mother (whenever she came through the family room) would just ask "Why is that funny?" LOL The less said about them airing The Benny Hill Show right afterward, the better. ;)

Thank you for the welcome. We love Monty Python. It's one of our all-time favorites. I wish on our profiles we could have a longer personal statement. I used one of the shortest quotes from the migrating coconut scene I could find.

I thought I would add links to some photos of our home Tiki bar and the progress we (CoconutChelle and I) have made. She's over 55 years old and needed some love.
