Since the Hula Hop I've basically been consumed with moving. My wife's job relocated her to Charlotte, NC and I'm now working from my new home.

Google seems to reveal no real tiki bars (though I have found a bar with some light tiki decor) or FOM chapter (bummer, because I'm still interested).

So my question is (now that I'm semi-settled in my new locale); Does anyone have any good tiki or other bar recommendations and are there any FOM affiliations down here?

Thanks

Aloha! Come visit Durham one weekend, and let us know when you’re coming! Between several of our home tiki bars, a ukulele band (Eno Islanders - they are wonderful!) and members of FOM convincing local bars to occasionally go tiki (Alley 26 is currently tiki all December), we’re trying to instill the aloha spirit! I’m an initiate, but we have wonderful full FOM members here too.

Aloha! As Tiki-Tom-Tom said, there are a few of us here in Durham and we can connect you with others. We are trying to build our community and would love to meet up at some point. If you are on FB, please join our Carolina Tiki group.

Also, you may want to check out Atlanta's tiki event, Inuhele, in February. While not a FOM event, many of us are involved as volunteers, presenters, mischief-makers, etc... Here's the link: https://atlantatikitour.com

Cheers & mahalo!
