Just starting this new book. Looks well done and perhaps some of the mysteries of Shelter Island may finally be revealed!

Have already learned of a place called Bradley’s Puka Puka where the most expensive drink on the menu was the $1.50 Puka Puka Punch! Now that is something I can get behind.

Well,

$1.50 in 1930 is equivalent to around $23 in 2020, so I’m liking my (Happy Hour) $8.50 Barrel O’Rum or Mutiny at the Mai-Kai!

Definitely can’t go wrong with that! I lived at the Mai Kai for several days back in December. There was a new Molokai Maiden behind the bar. We were talking to her one night, and she said oh I just started here....I thought you guys were local regulars!

At home I usually go with the Bum Barrel recipe when I need that dose of 4 oz of rum and not making a Puka Punch or Puka Puka Punch that is!
