An article concerning Rapa Nui was published recently in The NY Times (https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/27/trav ... sland.html). It's worth reading, and some of the comments are interesting (some are also ill-informed, but so it goes).

I'm almost glad that falls in line with general consensus for native Americans' (north, central, and south's) decline in population.
