Aloha - I'm Rev. Tommy Gunn. Just now signed up to the FoM, though I have been aware of it for some time...

SHAMELESS SELF-PROMOTION: During this quarantine, I started up an online show: TIKI TIME with Rev. Tommy Gunn. Here is a link to the Facebook page, which also includes links to the episodes on YouTube: https://www.facebook.com/tikitimewithrevtommygunn
It's a work in progress - and I welcome your comments & suggestions.

a wee bit about me: I am back in Dayton, OH - but I still consider my home bar to be the Tiki-Ti in Hollywood, CA, which I used to live within walking distance of. Studied tiki culture during my work on the Kilroy Was Here exhibit at The Ohio Historical Center in Columbus after grad school. While I had always loved it, I became more familiar with tiki & hotrod subcultures living in Orange County, CA in the late 80s through the 90s - but I never started collecting mugs into the mid-2000s, upon returning to live in Hollywood (within an easy walk to the Tiki-Ti & Wacko). Visits to the Bahooka before it closed... all that kind of thing. Currently researching closed tiki-type places that used to be in Dayton. Thanks for reading!

Welcome to the port! I'm also in Dayton, hope we cross paths soon.
Do you have any items from the Tropics yet?

Thank you for the welcome!

I have been looking for artifacts from THE TROPICS - nothing yet, but I have seen some reproduction tshirts!

I am thrilled to be able to be on here!

Does anyone know if ARROW WINE near Dayton, Ohio carries Allspice Dram? And Orgeat?
Thank you in advance!

Aloha and welcome to the Port! My wife, Swizzle, and I have been enjoying your YouTube videos. We look forward to seeing more of your basement tiki "lounge."

We live north of Dayton and are members of the FOM Kon-Tiki chapter. We look forward to meeting up with you, hopefully someday soon!

As for your Arrow Wine orgeat and pimento dram question, SufferinSimon has a good sense of their inventory and can respond accordingly.

As far as booze goes, the Ohio Liquor Control website has an online inventory of what bottles are available at retailers across the state: https://www.ohlq.com/products/

Yes, Arrow south definitely has St Elizabeth allspice dram. I don't think they have
orgeat but you might check their Monin syrups. I pick up the Maison Routin 1883 Orgeat at Jungle Jim's.
