Aloha! As previously posted by Commodore Oleo-Saccharum, he and I would like to join the FOM Gumbo-Limbo Chapter.

After months, nay, years of interacting with members and adjacent tikiphiles, we are ready to become full-fledged members of your esteemed order.

Bring on the trials! :)

Mahalo for the welcome! My husband and I were first made aware of the tiki scene about 3 years ago when we found the Hukilau online. Being just 7 minutes away from Pier 66 made it a no-brainer for us to attend. We met awesome villagers and made new friends. A year later we found our local FOM chapter and then started attending tiki bingo at the Mai Kai and other FOM and local tiki events. We have received such a warm welcome from those we've met, so we decided to officially pursue membership.

Our 1950's Florida room was turned into a home cocktail/coffee/wine bar a few years prior to the events above, but since then it has metamorphized into a tiki bar complete with fish nets, kitschy signs and even a one-eyed puffer fish named Bob.

We look forward to meeting more of you in person and online and trading stories and tiki cocktail recipes!

I'm including a photo of us at Disney World, one of our happy places. :)Image

Aloha and welcome! I believe we may have met at the Hukilau. You look quite familiar. Cheers!

Aloha! Thanks for the photo, I recognize you from Tiki Bingo at the Mai-Kai. I don't make it too often because of work though.

Beautiful bar. We have a small lounge (the Kapu Cove) we like to hang out in, they are a never ending project.

The cocktail of the Kapu Cove is the Scorpion! You'll have to come by after all this virus stuff and have some.

Scorpion:
4oz Lemon Juice
1.5oz Orgeat
8oz OJ
6oz White Rum (I use Cruzan)
1oz Brandy
About 8 oz ice
Blend until smooth and enjoy
Serves 4-6 glasses or 1 big bowl.

OZ

Thanks, OZ, that sounds great. We're really looking forward to getting back to weekly happy hour at the Mai Kai. Not sure how that will work with face masks, but I'm willing to try. LOL

Aloha! Glad to be the acquaintance of a Duchess! Wishing you much success in the process. Once we are traveling again, y'all come on up to the Bull City ... Durham, NC ... for a home bar tour!

Aloha and welcome. Hopefully tiki bingo will eventually start up soon so we can get to know y'all better. As the Oz said you will have to stop by our Kapu Cove.

Aloha and welcome to the port! Sorry it's taken me so long to get around to posting a welcome here, just been a little too busy lately. I think you and Mike are really going to enjoy it here.
