Aloha all,

Since I'm not currently in my floaty in the pool at the Tiki Resort @Lake George(where we all should be today) I have no excuse not to finalize my intent.

My first memory of Tiki was spending birthdays at Sam's Seafood (aka Don the Beachcomber, Sunset Beach, CA) and Mr. C's (Long Beach, CA) Tropical oasis' with adventurous food and beverages.

First exposure to Polynesia was my inaugural trip to Hawaii at age 10. Did the obligatory visit to The Culture Center and learned all about Fiji, Samoa and the Cook Islands. Never realized how lucky I was living in Southern California and having parents who were travelers.
As an adult I've visited all the Hawaiian Islands multiple times and spent time in Tahiti and Moorea. I attend numerous Tiki events throughout the US but my absolute favorite is Ohana Luau at the Lake. What separates it from the rest is the people, which I believe comes from the "giving back" aspect. Like minded people with the same goal.

Planning a trip to Rapa Nui, sooner then later to learn more about their culture.

You may know me already as Flips better half, and for those I have yet to meet, ke nana nei wau.
