You're right, they aren't the same here, but even these peel made a surprisingly tasty oleo-saccharum and held much more oil than I expected it to.
I presume it's all about varietals/cultivars. I wonder if there is a nursery down here that specializes in them. For example, I enjoy driving down to Pine Island Nursery in Redland to get special varieties of Mangos and Lychees.
