Usually when I write about a tiki bar, I mention what city or town its located, but when the tiki bar is a collapsible and can pop up anywhere, location doesn’t really matter. John Betts was thinking of building a shelf to display his growing tiki mug collection but decided instead to build a tiki bar that he can set up outside on his deck and serve his guest tiki cocktails from. When it starts raining here in the Pacific Northwest, John can easily tear down his bar and pack it away for the winter. John invited me over for drinks at his home in Redmond WA and we talked about his one of a kind tiki bar called, The South Pacific Libation Company …

That's awesome!
I did this a few years back but it was made of PVC tubes and thatch. 80% of it fit into a duffel bag so I could pop it up for backyard parties or events. Was a hoot!

Mine was called The Handsome Devil Travelling Tiki Bar.

That's some really impressive engineering. Good inspiration. We're currently having a chickee hut built and of course we'll put a tiki bar under it when it's done.

Here's an old thread in the port about travel bars: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=10668

Unfortunately it's old enough that a lot of the picture links are broken, but it does have some good shots of my full suitcase sized travel bar build.

When the FOM Test Labs gets involved, you can never be sure.

I think the CNC plywood flatpak FOM stools and bar set was been the most throwdown. There was an ATA roady case travel bar that was cool. It might have been lost when the FOM Test Labs intern art club disrupted the timeline trying to find a jelly doughnut bakery after a concert in 1890s Berlin. Thatbis what happens when you let version 3.1 hipsters chaperon version 2.1.a interns on field trips.
