As a Shriner and hopeful FOM member, I agree that earned Fez feels much better on the noggin.

Also to prance around in a purchased Shriner Fez is kinda disrespectful to the Shrine, its not a part of a 'costume', its ceremonial garb with lots of with tradition and meaning (some of the meaning is very very silly, but that's what the Shrine is all about)

Don't get me wrong, I have a number of FezOrama Fez' too, custom design and generic and I love wearing them out to events or on my back patio. But I would also collect classic Shrine Fez so they don't get lost to the ages. But never wear those of course.

Fez on my friends. Fez on.

As a fellow Shriner (Damascus-one of the oldest shrines in the country) I feel the same about old Shriners fez being a prop
