Aloha,
Mark your calendars and make your reservations now for New Years Eve at Chef Shangri-La, featuring the pounding surf rhythms of Go Tsunami. The band will do 2 sets, one at 9:00pm and the other at 11:00pm. The party starts around 8:00 pm and admission is absolutely free, plus Suzy will have some drink and dinner specials! How can you beat that? So come on out, have some pupus, a few cocktails, and join in the festivities.

For reservations call 708-442-7080

There is lodging near the Chef, for anyone from out of town, that is planning on attending. Just drop a pm for more info....

....and here's something to consider how about a New Years Day fieldtrip to the new Chicago Trader Vic's?

One more reason to make your reservations now!!!!!!!
quick update....
Due to a combination of bad weather and the approaching holidays, the Chef didn't see much of a crowd this past Saturday night. Because of this, we decided not to do the monthly free raffle. Instead we will have the raffle on New Years Eve between sets by Go Tsunami.
Goodies will include a framed 2005 Exotica poster, Cocktail Preachers CD, Tiki Farm license plate holder, a various artists Lounge CD, a vintage Tiki mug, Moai Kleenex cover, vintage Coco Joe Tiki Necklace, Surfabilly Freakout T-shirt, and a Chef T-shirt.

PS. It looks like Trader Vics may open for New Years Day...Stay tuned for more info.

Lots of fun. I'll post photos later. Slow Tsunami was every bit as great as Go Tsunami! A bunch of us drove back to our house and we partied until 6:00AM.AS you can imagine, not doing too much today-just resting up, sadly I have to go into work tomorrow.
Big thanks to Bamboolodge and Kaulua for putting this party together, and thanks to Suzie for the free cocktail and the cool old key chain.
Tipsy McStagger and Daddy Tiki should win an award for the most awsome suit jackets! Hopefully we caught a photo of them.

A big thank-you to Dave and Coalbe for arranging such a fun evening.

Suzie. Wishing us all a happy, healthy and wealthy new year. She also gave everyone in the place a free cocktail and a key chain as thank-you for attending.

TikiDaddy and Tikimom. Love that jacket TikiDaddy has on!

When I gave up smoking, I started peeling beer bottle labels and making tiny art arrangements out of garnish as a way to keep my mind off wanting a cigarette. It's been decades since I last had a smoke, but I still peel labels and make tiny art works with whatever happens to be handy.
