December 5th is Repeal Day

This Friday is the day to raise your glass and drink a toast to the Constitution of the United States... because you have the freedom to do that.

On December 5, 1933, Utah ratified the 21st Amendment making it the law of the land. The "noble experiment" of Prohibition was ended and one of the major campaign promises made by President Roosevelt was kept.

This may not be an official holiday (Wikipedia even deleted the page for Repeal Day!) but let's treat it like one anyway. Be sure to mix a classic cocktail Friday evening.

Well known mixologist Jeffrey Morgenthaler has a great web site up urging people to support Repeal Day at, stop by and check it out.

Keep the torches burning,
