We have word from Jim Bacchi of the Tikiyaki Orchestra that Kona Restaurant in Huntington Beach is having troubled times. Many tikiphiles will recognize Kona's original name: Sam's Seafood.

The last few years have been difficult for this well known spot which has had the aspirations of condo developers hanging over it like a sword of Damocles.

Remember what we say on the islands: support your local tiki bar! Stop by and bring some friends with you. You never know if it will be there tomorrow.
