It was a crazy idea... double a charity fundraising goal in a bad economy. Experts would tell you that just meeting the same goal is a great achievement.

But those walking Moai in New England are a little loopy so they doubled the goal anyway and said they would try to raise $10,000 for the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Maine Chapter by May 31, 2009.

It would take creativity, over half the money would be raised selling a fantastic limited edition Tiki Farm mug designed by Squid, and a lot of support from many, many people.

So how did they do? Pretty darn good.

Goal met. Team Queequeg is also the top fundraising team in the state of Maine.
