Ohana welcomes new sponsors

Aloha!

Ohana: Luau at the Lake is pleased to welcome two exciting new sponsors!

Dole

Dole Food Company. The world's largest producer and marketer of fresh fruit and vegetables.

We all know that fruits and vegetables are healthy and that must make tiki cocktails the healthiest drinks on the planet. Dole will be sponsoring a contest for cocktails based on Dole pineapple juice. We expect the judges will probably give bonus points for using other Dole products in the cocktail and garnish.

Be sure to say "Mahalo!" when you see the representatives from Dole at the event in September.

Since we're on the topic of cocktails, we would also like to welcome...

Ryan & Wood

Ryan & Wood Distilleries. A producer of small batch, hand crafted spirits in the historic coastal city of Gloucester, Mass.

Thanks to the first pot still in Gloucester since Prohibition (the first legal one anyway) Ryan & Wood is launching a new rum named after Folly Cove.

Folly Cove Rum is so new it isn't even on the shelf yet but the guys from the distillery will be at Ohana offering small samples direct from the cask, how often do you see that? There will also be a Gloucester weekend vacation package in the silent auction that offers the lucky winner a visit to Ryan & Wood and go on a whale watch cruise.

Bob and Dave tell us they are passionate about their spirits, especially the rum. They even dressed up their 600 liter alembic copper pot still in a grass skirt to get ready for Ohana.

Mahalo!
