Have a few short trips planned this summer. Looking for inspiration and suggestions myself.

Quick Chicago trip in June. Mostly for 3 Dots and A Dash, plus to go Lost Lake. Also got reservations for The Aviary. Hala Kahiki if schedule permits.

In July we'll be in downtown DC, hitting up Tiki TNT and the Cotton & Reed rum distillery. Archipelago is a strong maybe if the The Lost Island finally reopens ....

Finally in August its a long weekend in NY mostly for the NY Rum Fest. Speakers include The Bum, Joy from Appleton and Cocktail Wonk among others. Very stoked Might be checking out Ottos Shrunken Head afterwards, assuming we want more rum.

Any recommendations for New York? Been to The Polynesian and The Rum House. Bit sad to see so many bars have been casualties from the pandemic, Gladys (Shannon Mustipher's), Mother of Pearl, NoMad are all gonzo.

I'm trying to talk my friend who is a fellow initiate as well into a road trip from Central Ohio up to Ann arbor Michigan, there are several decent tiki bars and tropical bars on the way there, I figure it would be a fun little road trip and we'd end at one of the casinos in Ann arbor. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated, I found about seven interesting looking places!

I would also kind of be down for a haunted tiki road trip, where we'd go to supernatural or haunted locations but only if they're in the vicinity of a tiki bar. So it would be like Scooby-Doo meet Gilligan's island!

A spooky Tiki trail sounds like a complete blast!!

If you end up making a list, can you post it? I suspect there's a lot of folks here who are fans of Halloween fans too.

We've been very fortunate already this summer. We're in Florida, so it's been summer since forever though. In April, we met up with some Tongariki at Universal Studios for a couple of days. Before we left, we checked out Suffering Bastard in Sanford, FL. It's like a speakeasy within a more basic bar. It had great atmosphere, food, and cocktails:

Then in May we got to spend some time with friends who just purchased a condo in the Royal Hawaiian Estates in Palm Springs, CA. They aren't tikiphiles, but love mid-mod architecture.

While there, we also hit up Bootlegger Tiki. It had a really nice patio and unique cocktails.

And Tonga Hut was great in all ways.

Driving to South Carolina tomorrow and stopping at the Secret Tiki Temple in Jacksonville on the way. After that we'll shut it down until Ohana in September.

TikiLoCo, I'll be going to Orlando for a family reunion in July, hoping to get to Aku Aku and Suffering Bastard if I can! If you find yourself driving to Chicago and come through Indianapolis, you should stop at the Inferno Room.

I'm heading to San Francisco later this month, with my mom, for her birthday. It's my first trip since the pandemic started. I have seen that Smuggler's Cove is open, and some other tiki bars are re-opening too.
