Next weekend, the Golden Host Resort and the Bahi Hut are hosting Tiki Fever 2.5. The 4-day event is full of activities, bands, and special guests, including Sven Kirsten. Saturday evening, we are hosting a room crawl. The name of our room is Pele's Hideway, feel free to stop by and enjoy a delicious cocktail!

I'm actually going to be within a stone's throw of Sarasota next weekend.
But sadly, won't be able to make it.

Have a drink and then another drink and then a few more drinks for me.

We're going to have to miss this one, but several Gumbos will be there. I know Doc Aikane and Jontiki for sure, but I think others as well. Looking forward to the pictures.

Sounds like a blast and sadly. I’ll be there only in spirit, imbibing spirits.
Enjoy, share stories, and tell tales!

The Manakooras are performing, do you need anything else to attract you to this event? :)

Tiki Fever was a blast... 2nd event, it had grown considerably but still retained the charm of the intimate event it started as.
Special props to all those that sponsored room crawls. They were all wonderful and a really important component to the event as a whole. We (Gumbo Limbo Chapter) did a crawl based on Hemingway's Cuba and the Floridita Bar with Papa Doble cocktails and pressed Cuban sandwiches... It will be a LOOOONG time before I volunteer to press Cuban sandwiches again...lol
While our room decor was rather simple, the King Kong and Gilligans Island rooms were amazing, huge set pieces, immersive environments and beautiful cocktails. Faye Wray in the palm of an ape? yup. Erupting Volcano? Gilligan and a headhunter? It was all there.
I am sorry I missed Jenna Beth's "Beauty" cocktail, but sampled most of the others.
If you have not made it to Tiki Fever yet, plan to attend next year... It is a great event!

JonTiki, it was a pleasure meeting you and the fellow FOM! I’m glad you had a good time, I know that we did. I’m already thinking about a theme for 2022!

Looking forward to hanging out with you guys again, maybe at the Mai Kai?

We'll be seeing you at the Mai Kai!!! And maybe sometime sooner? Still impressed by your room crawl. You need to go to your post where you declared intent and share photos of your room crawl right away!!! Awesome job!

Bummed I could not make it this year... glad everyone had a good time.
The Bahi Hut has come a long way!
I used to sneak in there when I was underage and I just turned 55 so... I have seen it rise from the ashes and it has a great future with the new ownership.
Parth rocks !

Well, that was dumb. Wrote down the wrong dates for Tiki Fever and never questioned them until it was too late. My apologies to all who expected me to be there.

I make a big boo boo. I had written down the wrong dates for the event and never questioned it. I was excited to go and meet with you and anyone else but I screwed up.
