Aloha! As tiki spots start opening back up, where are you going first? (Outside perhaps of your normal watering hole? )

Trader Vic's in Atlanta! I'm so happy they survived the pandemic. Although, I do hear some of the long time workers decided to retire. I'll miss Linda and the Bananas Fosters she'd make table side.

Went to the Mai Kai parking lot a few weeks ago. Went to Universal Studios last week (no tiki on site, though they did have a Smuggler's Cove menu and a tiki mug on the set of the Fast and Furious ride). But, Universal is near Sanford, so we did pop up to try Suffering Bastard for the first time. It was wonderful. Heading to Palm Springs next week! We're fully vaxxed and got vacation to burn before July 1 or lose it.

I’m starting with our new Hugman’s Oasis out in San Antonio then heading out to Vegas to hit Frankies and Golden Tiki and then out to Hawaii end of summer hoping that La Mariana opens.

I hit the Secret Tiki Temple in Jacksonville Florida a few weeks ago. I'm heading to San Diego next week where I plan to hit The False Idol and the Bali Hai.

We are planning a combined July trip to Orlando and Key West so we will be visiting Aku Aku tiki bar, Tiki House, and Sunset Tiki Bar & Grill with potentially a stop at Esotico in Miami if we make it there! Florida in July? I'll need to be intoxicated to manage all that sun. :P

You will enjoy Esotico if you make it. We love that place, the owner is so nice and the drinks and food are all top notch. Hard to get me to drive into Miami at any time though... Tiki House is a sort of "Party City" version of Tiki.. They have decent cocktails, though not amazing...and it's right next door to Captain Tony's, so location is stellar. The Other Side at Caroline's has some interesting cocktails as well as Horseplay... Our favorite is still the Rum Bar on the other end of Duval.. a quiet 8 seat bar with an amazing rum list and great bartenders.

When in Orlando, if you have the time, I'd recommend making the trip to Sanford, to the Suffering Bastard. Make a reservation. Well worth it.

I’ve been to Rum Bar in Key West although it was several years ago. Good rum spot. We even stayed at the hotel there. Blue Heaven is a great breakfast place in Key West to bring you back to life!

Agreed on the Key West Rum Bar - we had some fun times there!

My GF and I are headed to Louisville in a couple of weeks and The Limbo is definitely on our itinerary. The first and only time I have been there was the week leading up to the KY Derby, and I went early so I was the only customer there (I was in KY for work). Then this very large Scandinavian guy walks in as does what I assume was the entire bar staff. Turns out he was the global ambassador for Finlandia Vodka, and was there to teach the staff how to make the official Derby cocktails using Finlandia.

What a strange and wonderful experience; they even let me try a few of the things they were working on. :)

I was able to hit a new bar in San Antonio "Hugman's Oasis". I was greeted with fine spirits and lovely decor. Friendly staff working hard to make it a success. Definitely recommend if you are near the River Walk.

Hard to say. With no local Tiki bars or depends on where I travel to. At least there is Ohana in September.

Last weekend they had the first big tiki flea and tiki underground in Akron. It rekindled a spirit in me that I haven't felt in a long time in this pandemic. I finally purchased a copy of smuggler's cove when I was there! Right now me and my friend are planning a trip up to Michigan to visit three or four tiki bars when restrictions release a little bit more!

Wohoo! We are going on a road trip in late June and are planning on stopping at these places as well. I mean, you need to break up the drive somehow. :)
